Mace Construct will continue trading under its existing name until the new year before adopting the Forco name, the UK contractor has said. The company said the new name was chosen because it is short, impactful and easy to pronounce.
The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses. Under that agreement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand. The construction business will keep its current name until the new year, when Forco takes over.
Forco will then operate alongside a new corporate strategy, which is due to be unveiled with productivity targets through to 2030.
Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds added that the company’s culture, values and people would remain unchanged despite the new name and brand. He said clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.
The contractor described Mace Construct as one of the UK’s most respected contractors, and Reynolds said the qualities that underpinned its success would carry into Forco.
